Narrowband absorber
3500 - Microwave absorber foam
Used at higher frequencies than traditional shielding, these absorbers can also be combined with other EMI/RFI shields to extend the frequency range.
Microwave absorbers can be easily installed with pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), often directly onto high-frequency board-level components. They are designed to absorb unwanted radiated and surface-wave EMI/RFI and to meet FCC requirements without additional shielding.
Our 3500 series Microwave Absorber Foam is RoHS compliant. It is a coated, open-cell foam used as a microwave-absorbing material, especially for applications with frequencies from 1 to 17 GHz. The product functions as a free-space resistor to incoming electromagnetic energy.
The 3500 series Microwave Absorber Foam is available in both soft (3500) and hard (3501) variants. The choice of type depends on the force the foam needs to withstand, if necessary.
Microwave absorber products can address EMI/RFI problems without additional shielding and support advanced technologies including automotive radar, military applications, and commercial wireless technologies.
3710 - Polypropylene based microwave absorber
The polypropylene (pp) based microwave absorber looks similar to our hybrid pyramid absorber 3700 on a polypropylene (pp) basis, but this absorber is used in the high-frequency range. The absorber is designed for antenna measurements in anechoic chambers and provides solutions for Antenna Pattern Measurement (APM), Antenna Test Ranges (ATR), Radar Cross Section (RCS), and Electronic Warfare Testing (EWT) chambers.
