Electrically conductive elastomer seals

Electrically conductive elastomer seals are specialized sealing systems that combine the flexible properties of elastomers with the conductive characteristics of metals or conductive materials. These seals are used in various applications where not only effective sealing is required but also electrical conductivity or electrostatic dissipation is important. The conductive properties of these elastomer seals enable them to conduct electrical currents or dissipate static electricity, which is crucial in environments where the accumulation of electrical charge needs to be avoided. Typically, conductive elastomer seals are made from a combination of rubber or elastomer materials and embedded conductive fillers, such as metal particles or conductive polymers. These seals are applied in various industries, including electronics, telecommunications, medical technology, aerospace, and areas with explosive atmospheres. In electronic enclosures, conductive elastomer seals help reduce electromagnetic interference while providing reliable sealing against dust and moisture. Selecting the appropriate conductive elastomer seal depends on the specific requirements of the application, including desired conductivity, chemical resistance, temperature resistance, and other environmental factors. High-quality conductive elastomer seals provide not only electrical conductivity but also the necessary elasticity and resistance to environmental influences to ensure long-term performance. We are happy to provide advice and find a solution for your application.

• Also suitable for small quantities
• Especially efficient for large series

3D-formed seal for EMI and environmental protection

3D-formed seals made from conductive silicone, fluorosilicone, or EPDM offer interesting solutions, especially when it comes to a combination of EMC and environmental sealing.

These materials provide the usual robustness and environmental compatibility of traditional environmental seals. With the addition of conductive fillers, primarily the cost-effective and corrosion-resistant nickel-graphite, they also achieve excellent EMC properties. The capability for nearly any three-dimensional shaping ultimately offers solutions for applications with complex geometric requirements.

5200 Ultra-soft conductive rubber

Very soft conductive rubber for the medical, military, and automotive industries, where less closing force is required.

5711 - 5722 - Oriented wire shield

Silicone sheet material with oriented wires for EMI shielding and IP sealing. Can be cut into complicated shapes by CNC knife cutting, laser cutting and/or water jet cutting, or die-cut.

5750-P - Conductive rubber profiles

Electrically conductive rubber profiles in general are known for its excellent weather, oxidation and ozone resistance. In EMI shielding, this rubber in particular is used as a medium to provide electrical conductivity across a gasket-flange interface.

5750-S - Conductive rubber sheets

Electrically conductive rubber in general is known for its excellent weather, oxidation, and ozone resistance. In EMI shielding, this rubber in particular is used as a medium to provide electrical conductivity across a gasket-flange interface.

7910 - Conductive O-rings

O-rings are ideal for providing the sealing of static mechanical elements. Static seal means an application in which the elements to be sealed hare not subject to relative movements.
